Founder’s Story

Hi, I’m Janet. I’m an eye doctor and the founder of TechSpecs. In the exam room, I kept seeing the same thing over and over again: people with perfect vision who were still struggling. Their eyes felt tired, heavy, and strained after long days on the computer. They had headaches, fatigue, and no idea why.

Many of them tried blue light blocking glasses, but they weren’t getting enough relief. And that’s because blocking blue light doesn’t solve the real issue — their eye muscles were still overworking.

Living in Hawaii, I’ve always believed in the power of slowing down, finding balance, and giving yourself a little R&R. In my practice, I gave people that same kind of relaxation for their eyes, and it changed everything: less strain, more energy, fewer headaches.

That’s what inspired me to create TechSpecs: an accessible, ready-to-wear solution built with proprietary lenses that combine an eye muscle relaxation component with blue light blocking to help you feel comfortable, focused, and energized through long hours on screens.

Just as standing desks and ergonomic chairs changed the way we work, TechSpecs are ergonomics for your eyes. And with a little inspiration from life in Hawaii, I’d love to bring the spirit of aloha and relaxation to our tech filled lives.

FAQs

Got questions? We’ve got answers. From what makes our lenses different to how the fit works, here are the details that set TechSpecs apart.

What makes TechSpecs different from blue light glasses?

Most blue light glasses only filter light — but that’s not the main cause of eye strain. TechSpecs use proprietary optics with microprism and our patent-pending technology, designed by an eye doctor, to gently relax overworked eye muscles. The result: less fatigue, fewer headaches, and sharper focus, even after hours on a screen.

What do you mean by prescription-quality frames and lenses?

TechSpecs are crafted to the same optical standards as prescription eyewear. The lenses are high-quality polycarbonate with premium anti-reflective and anti-smudge (oleophobic) coatings, plus embedded blue light blocking. The frames are crafted from lustrous acetate and durable metal styles, giving a vibrant, high-end look with a polished designer finish and comfortable all-day wear.

Can I use these if I already wear glasses (distance or readers)?

TechSpecs are designed for people who don’t normally wear prescription glasses. If you wear glasses — even just occasionally for distance, or readers — you would need a prescription version from your eye doctor. Contact lens wearers can still wear TechSpecs for added comfort during screen time, as long as each eye is corrected properly. People whose prescriptions are written identically in both eyes for convenience (instead of accounting for small differences) may not experience the full benefit.

How do I know which frames will fit my face?

Each frame style is labeled by fit (narrow, average, or wide) to make choosing easy. You can also check the measurements listed for each frame. If you’re unsure, try a size you love — every pair comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can exchange or return if it’s not the perfect fit.

What’s your return policy?

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all TechSpecs. If you’re not feeling the comfort and clarity we promise, simply return them within 30 days for a full refund. No stress, no hassle — we want your eyes to feel great, and your purchase to feel risk-free.

Do these glasses take the place of an eye care professional?

We highly recommend scheduling a yearly eye exam with your local eye care professional to maintain optimal eye health. TechSpecs are designed to support visual comfort during digital device use but do not take the place of a comprehensive annual eye exam.

What if I experience discomfort with the glasses?

Most people experience relief with TechSpecs, but if you notice discomfort instead, we recommend visiting an eye care professional. You may have an underlying vision issue, such as a binocular vision condition, that requires attention.
